This institute is designed especially for Law Enforcement officers and will cover:

* Practical Crime Scene Exercises.
The Law Enforcement Institute is limited to 30 participants. As one of these participants you are also invited to participate in the following two-day multidisciplinary conference, detailed below. Priority enrollment for this Institute will be given to Law Enforcement officers.

Two-day Multidisciplinary DNA Conference August 26th & 27th
This training is designed for Advocates, Law Enforcement officers, Sexual Assault Examiners, Sexual Assault Forensic Examiners, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners, Prosecutors and EMS providers and will cover:
* Your responsibilities as a First Responder to a crime against a person or property-is DNA evidence present?
* The benefits of a victim-centered approach to DNA collection.
* Forensic medical care [SAE, SAFE, SANE], effective methods for obtaining DNA bearing evidence.
* Law Enforcement’s role in preserving evidence.
* Prosecution and effective methods for using DNA evidence.
* How to form a multidisciplinary team in your community.
